Starpluse reported that Will Ferrell has found his dream role and that he would jump at the chance to play Simon Cowell in a movie based on his life.
"I would love to play Simon Cowell in a movie . It would be my dream role. He’s become a legend in five years, nobody knew who he was five years ago and now he’s one of the most famous people on TV," explained Ferrell, who says he’s captivated by the American Idol judge.
Ferrell would revel in playing the infamously outspoken Cowell and calls out to the man himself, "Come on, Simon. You know it would be fun."
The comedic actor says he is the ideal person to take on the role because of the similarities between the famous judge of American Idol, the series that searches out young, new singers across America, and his role in the 2004 movie, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. According to Ferrell, the two men are like twins separated at birth and it would not be hard for him to become that persona.
