Stella McCartney Teams With Morrissey

Stella McCartney called upon Morrissey to create a new shoe collection.

Designer and animal rights activist, Stella McCartney, has found a collaborator to help her create a collection of faux-leather shoes, reported The Independent.

McCartney sought out the vegetarian, cult singer Morrissey, to help her out with this new collection. The designer explained, "I’m working with Morrissey on a line of leather-free shoes which I’m really excited about. We are still in the early stages, but the shoes could be launched next year."

Since her early days as a designer, McCartney has never used leather or fur in her collections, and is famous for sharing her views on the subject.

There was talk recently that the designer had plans to work with singer Leona Lewis to create a line of pleather and faux-fur clothing. However, it seems this is just a rumour. "It’s news to me," said McCartney.

Since November 3 of last year, Gap Kids and Baby Gap have been carrying styles by Stella McCartney.
