Beyoncé Announces New Disc

Beyoncé Knowles will be releasing her new disc in 2010.

The singer, who was in Nottingham, England for her world tour, revealed that she plans to drop her new disc in 2010.

The star made the announcement in front of spectators at the Trent FM Arena. "This is my last show for this tour in the U.K., so hopefully, I’ll see you all in a year with a new album," she said.

Since 2008, Beyoncé has been spanning the globe promoting her disc I Am… Sasha Fierce. Her most recent hit, Sweet Dreams, is the 6th single off the album.

No further detail was given concerning the next album, but we do know that producer Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins will be involved, since he himself confirmed the news on his Twitter page. Jerkens produced Beyoncé’s 2006 song Déjà Vu.

2010 is bound to be an eventful year for the singer. In addition to her new disc, the former Destiny’s Child member will be performing at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, after FIFA asked the star to sing for the game’s opening ceremony at Orlando Stadium in Soweto.
