The R&B star was horrified when intimate shots of her were published on the Net. Rihanna called it "the worst thing that could possibly ever happen to me."
The young singer finally opened up about the scandal during an interview on the American radio station, Hot 97. The photographs had been sent by Rihanna to a former boyfriend.
Although the pictures have been seen by millions, Rihanna still defended her choice to take them. She explained, "If you don’t send your boyfriend naked pictures, then I feel bad for him."
The 21-year-old star went on to say that she’s had a pretty tough year. First, she shot into headlines around the world when she was assaulted by her then-boyfriend, Chris Brown, before the Grammy Awards. Just months later in May, the naked pictures of Rihanna surfaced on the Web.
"I just felt like my whole privacy was taken before that and then, when that came out, I thought, ‘oh great, so now there’s nothing they don’t know about me and my private life’," she said about the trying times. "It was humiliating and it was embarrassing – especially my mum having to see that."
Earlier this month, Rihanna agreed to be interviewed by Diane Sawyer to talk about the attack. She revealed that she has still not forgiven Chris Brown.
