The singer became a grandfather for the first time when his daughter, Joely, became a mother.
The former Genesis member flew to Canada last month when he learned that his 37-year-old daughter had given birth in Vancouver. Collins was delighted to meet little Zoe Amelie, Joely’s baby with her husband, Stefan Buitelaar.
The singer said, "Life has gone to a new level for me. I’m absolutely thrilled and I’m so happy for Joely and Stefan. They are truly happy."
Joely, who is an actress and was adopted by Collins and his ex-wife Andrea Bertorelli in 1975, added that she and her husband feel so fortunate to welcome their new baby girl.
