It’s one of the most highly awaited albums for fans that respect and love Beck and Gainsbourg. The two artists are never afraid to push the envelope with their talent and explore new arenas in music.
The first video from IRM, Charlotte Gainsbourg’s album featuring Beck, shows the singer/songwriter/actress cast in a completely absurd, surreal world. The song Heaven Can Wait shows each of the artists with surprises in store, all the results of a colourful outbreak of imagination.
Gainsbourg teamed with Beck for her fourth solo album after her stint in the controversial project Antichrist, alongside Willem Dafoe.
IRM created some buzz in Quebec, when rumours circulated that the singer would be covering an old Quebecois hit. The rumour was confirmed when the song Le chat du Café des artistes, from Jean-Pierre Ferland’s album Jaune, was included in Gainsbourg’s track list. The new album will be in music stores on December 8.
