Will Anne Hathaway Join Spider-Man 4?

Anne Hathaway has also been approached for Spider-Man 4.

At the current rate, it’s the young actresses who are next being considered for a part in the superhero adventure.

Although producers insist that no decision has been made and that only Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst are the only confirmed cast members of the franchise’s fourth instalment, several names have been mentioned for the role of Black Cat.

After Romola Garai (The Other Man, Atonement), the names of Julia Stiles and Rachel McAdams also came up, although rumours have recently been denied.

This time, Deadline Hollywood reports that Anne Hathaway is also being considered to play Black Cat, though there has been no confirmation.

The fourth Spider-Man flick is expected out in 2011, which is four years after the third instalment hit theatres.

In the meantime, Hathaway will once again share the screen with Jake Gyllenhaal, with whom she filmed Brokeback Mountain in 2005.  Their new project together is called Love and Other Drugs. The actress will also star in Valentine’s Day, opening on February 12, and in Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland on March 5, 2010.
