According to People, Richie was admitted to Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles. Her spokesperson confirmed the news but added that she’s doing well.
On November 10, the star was so sick that she was forced to cancel the launch of her latest jewellery collection, House of Harlow 1960, at a Los Angeles boutique. Following the cancellation, Richie denied reports that she had contracted influenza A (H1N1).
This week, the celebrity was in court to obtain a restraining order against the two photographers that she holds responsible for her recent car accident. Richie was coughing a lot in the courtroom and did not look well. The judge issued a restraining order that expires on November 16, 2012.
Also, in the midst of rumours that Richie has secretly wed her boyfriend of three years, Joel Madden, her lawyer made a slip by referring to Madden as his client’s husband. The two are not married.
Nicole Richie gave birth to her second child, a little boy named Sparrow, in September. Richie and Madden are also the parents of a 21-month-old girl, Harlow.
