Ryan Reynolds Up For New Comedy

Ryan Reynolds may be starring in the Universal Pictures comedy, TMI.

According to Variety, Universal has acquired the rights to TMI, written by Kirsten Smith and Marc Klein.

The comedy is based on the principle that honesty is the foundation of any relationship, but too much information isn’t always the answer either.  The film’s lead roles are rumoured to be going to Reynolds and Anna Faris.

The film will be produced by Andrew Panay (Old Dogs) and Jonathan Komack Martin, Reynolds’ partner at Dark Trick Films.  Reynolds will also serve as the project’s executive producer.

TMI is the first purchase that Universal has named under the name U, with its new leadership, Adam Fogelson and Donna Langley.  They have replaced Marc Shmuger and David Linde after a series of box office failures.

In the meantime, Ryan Reynolds will be filming Green Lantern in January.  He will then be starring in Deadpool, which is still in development.  Anna Faris will be starring in Young Americans, which hits theatres on January 9.
