Yesterday (November 11), Tyson was detained after getting into a brawl with a photog at the Los Angeles International Airport.
Arriving from Europe and headed towards Las Vegas, the boxing champion was making a stopover at LAX when the cameraman began to take snapshots.
An airport police officer recounted, "The two men got into a scuffle, and it’s alleged that Tyson hit the photographer once in the face with one hand, causing him to fall to the ground. The photographer sustained a laceration to the forehead, and was taken to a local hospital."
Tyson was arrested on the spot and was released on $20 000 US bail.
The star’s attorney, Richard Schonfeld, stated, "Mr. Tyson did absolutely nothing wrong, he was the victim in this case. We look forward to vindicating him and pursuing his rights."
Tyson was traveling with his wife and 10-month-old baby. Last May, his 4-year-old daughter Exodus died by accident, after being strangled by a treadmill cord.
