Snoop Dogg Still Busting Out the Tunes

Snoop Dogg is putting out his tenth album.

On December 7, the rapper will release Malice N Wonderland, the tenth album of his well-seasoned career.

Although the star hasn’t quite matched the ranks of Jay-Z or Eminem, he still remains an iconic figure of the hip-hop and rap culture, representing the gangsta rap movement and bad boy image that juxtapose the Ushers of the world.

At a time when gangsta rap was pushing the envelope and when some of its prime ambassadors were getting killed, such as Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G., Snoop Dogg’s career took off with flying colours after a collaboration with Dr. Dre. His three first albums from 1993-1998 hit the top of the American charts.

The 6′ 3.5" star decided to stop using drugs and alcohol in 2002, and has since carried out a more orderly career. After his involvement with porno films, such as 2001’s Snoop Dogg’s Doggystyle, a project mixing hip-hop and pornography produced by Hustler magazine, the artist went on to start his own production company in 2005, called Snoopadelic Films.

The debut single off the rapper’s next album will be Gangsta Luv, and will drop on November 30, which is one week before the album release.
