The director for The Wrestler and The Fountain has recruited Vincent Cassel, Winona Ryder and Barbara Hershey for the supernatural thriller Black Swan.
According to Le Parisien, the three actors are joining Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis, who are already part of the cast.
The story follows a ballerina (Portman) nearing the end of her career who finds herself in fierce competition with her dance rival (Kunis). The rivalry intensifies as a big performance approaches. However, Portman’s character is not sure whether her rival is a ghost or a figment of her imagination.
Vincent Cassel, who won the César Award for Best Actor earlier this year for his role as Jacques Mesrine in Public Enemy Number One, has wrapped up shooting the sci-fi drama The Cross, also starring Orlando Bloom.
