YSL Art Collection Up for Bid

On November 17, it will be possible to buy pieces of art owned by Yves Saint Laurent.

Christie’s Paris auction site will be holding the second part of the Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé art sale.

According to experts, the items being sold will likely go for nearly 4 million euros. The money earned will be used for HIV research and the fight against AIDS.

The first auction that was held in February brought in 373 million euros. Although less impressive than the first auction, the 1 200 pieces of art being put up for sale this time will be more accessible. The various items come from Saint Laurent and Bergé’s Chateau Gabriel in Normandy and their Parisian apartments.

Also on the line-up of desirable items for sale are furniture, tables, dishes, silverware, rugs, lamps, books, jewellery and textiles.
