The online scientific journal, Perception, reports that young men find women who wear size zero, like some celebrities, much less attractive.
The study was conducted by students at the University of St. Andrews. They asked 84 young females to answer a questionnaire on their health, their blood pressure was taken and they were photographed.
The photos were then shown to young men between 18 and 26 years old. They found women who looked the healthiest were most attractive. That is, those with an average "normal" weight won top prize.
According to the study, this is a strong message to those females who believe that men find size zero women attractive. In fact, they found the exact opposite, men prefer women with "normal" weight."
