Gibson’s rep confirmed that the actor and his girlfriend have chosen a name for their daughter, saying, "Oksana Grigorieva and Mel Gibson welcomed the arrival of a baby girl named Lucia on Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, at an undisclosed hospital in Los Angeles."
According to FemaleFirst, Gibson took a break from shooting the film The Beaver to be with Grigorieva at the hospital. He was greeted with enthusiasm when he returned to the set on Monday (November 2). A source revealed, "Everyone sang ‘For He’s A Jolly Good Fellow’ and he blushed."
Gibson is already the father of six sons and one daughter from his marriage to Robyn. Grigorieva has a 12-year-old son from her relationship with actor Timothy Dalton.
The actor’s friend revealed, "Everything is great! They couldn’t be happier. Everyone’s healthy and thrilled. He loves it!"
