Chris Brown Is Back

Chris Brown has executed his official comeback with a live performance on the airwaves.

The singer recently made his first public performance since he attacked his then-girlfriend, Rihanna, back in February.  He later pleaded guilty to assault charges and was sentenced to community service in Virginia.  He is also forbidden to approach Rihanna.

During the eight months that followed the incident, Brown has been rather quiet, but he recently announced a series of concerts.  The shows, that will take place in small venues across the United States, will be called the My Fan Appreciation Tour.

Last Tuesday (October 27), Brown took the first step to mark his return by giving a performance in East Rutherford, New Jersey for a local radio station, Power 105.1, reports Orange News.

During his performance, Brown took the time to thank listeners for sticking by his side, saying, "Despite my past and stuff like that, I appreciate all of y’all. How long we gonna do this for? We gonna do this forever!"

Brown’s comeback tour will begin on November 14 in Houston, Texas, and will end one month later on December 15 at New York’s Nokia Theatre.  The profits from the shows will be given to various charities, including a support organisation for victims of domestic violence.
