Jovovich has landed the lead role in the psychological thriller, reports Variety.
Written and directed by Julien Magnat, the film follows the story of a woman who managed to survive an attack by a serial killer. She wakes up in the hospital with a head injury that renders her incapable of recognizing faces. The killer tries to get closer to her in order to eliminate any potential witnesses.
The neurological disorder called prosopagnosia actually exists.
Filming will begin in March 2010.
Milla Jovovich will next star in The Fourth Kind, opening November 6.
