New Line is in final negotiations with Gomez (Another Cinderella Story) for her to star in the upcoming comedy flick.
According to Variety, the star of the Disney Channel show, Wizards of Waverly Place, will play a young girl who can read boys’ minds.
The film will be penned by writing duo Amy Andelson and Emily Meyer, who wrote Step Up 3D, and will be produced by Kevin Misher.
Selena Gomez is currently filming Ramona and Beezus, which hits theatres on March 19, 2010. The 17-year-old actress shares the screen with Josh Duhamel.
