The Scoop on the Suzuki Kizashi

Just weeks after the Suzuki Kizashi made its debut, the brand has unveiled the sedan’s pricing and specifications.

In terms of its marketing position, Suzuki took a risk by not going up against its obvious competitors, like the Toyota Camry and the Honda Accord. Rather, the automaker has opted  to target customers seeking something more along the lines of a BMW 3 Series, Acura TSX or VW Passat CC, but the Kizashi comes with a much lighter, more appealing price tag.

Under the hood, we find a 2.4-litre 4-cylinder engine with an output of 185 horsepower. The Kizashi also impressively punches 0 to 96 km/h (60 mph) in 7.5 seconds.

A V6 and a hybrid are also set to appear among the range within the next two years.

In addition, there is word that the higher-end models will come with a six-speed manual or CVT transmission option with plenty of luxurious gadgets at the driver’s fingertips, and fuel efficiency will not be sacrificed.

Based on the 4 models in the line-up, the Suzuki Kizashi will cost between $21 000 to $25 000 CAD.
