The Aerosmith guitarist has been very busy with the release of his latest solo album, Have Guitar Will Travel, which hits stores on October 6.
Perry, 59, released his fifth solo project after Aerosmith was forced to cancel the rest of their tour. Frontman Steven Tyler was injured during a show in South Dakota on August 5, and since then, the rest of the band have been on their own. There is still no announcement regarding when Aerosmith may be getting back on stage or recording a new album.
"I think that Aerosmith needs some time apart to get back into the same headspace of making the record," said Perry. "We need to do a great studio record, and I want to do with an A-list producer. … I think we need some space at this point. That’s from me. You’ll have to ask everybody else and ask Steven what he thinks, but that’s where I’m at."
