In response to this, GM boss Bob Lutz has invited all those who want to race their sports sedans against the Cadillac CTS-V sports sedan.
The event is set for October 29 at the Monticello Motor Club raceway in New York State. There is bound to be several BMW M3 and M5s, Audi RS4 and RS6s, not to mention, the Mercedes C63 AMG.
All unmodified sedans will be subject to selection by General Motors. The registration will end on October 16 on ctsvchallenge.com.
The event will include 5 laps and the best out of five will remain. The object will be to beat the Cadillac’s record time.
