Encourage Developing Countries To Vaccinate

Fewer children are vaccinated in developing countries.

A large study was conducted in twelve countries to find out why so many children in developing countries are still not vaccinated.

The immunization record was even lower than expected. The millions of children that are not vaccinated could potentially lead to thousands of avoidable deaths.

An article published in the International Health and Human Rights said that some countries like Pakistan have discussed the advantages and costs of vaccination with the people and this has lead to increased immunization rates.

This shows that targeted interventions can significantly improve immunization rates in targeted countries. Their hope is to make people more informed about vaccinations.

The study began in September 2003 in twelve countries with six teams of researchers.
