Yesterday, Rihanna wrote on her Web site, "the wait is over – November 23, 2009."
That somewhat cryptic message suggests that the Umbrella singer’s next album will be released next month. Rihanna’s last album, 2007’s Good Girl Gone Bad, reached the top ten in over 25 countries.
Last February, things took a sudden turn for the 21-year-old singer, after her then-boyfriend, Chris Brown, assaulted her before their scheduled appearance at an awards show. Since that time, the singer from Barbados, whose real name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, made only one appearance in a Kanye West video for Paranoid and sang on Jay-Z’s Run This City.
No title has been announced for the upcoming album.
