Long has landed a role in the next Robert Redford production, The Conspirator. He joins current cast members Robin Wright Penn and James McAvoy.
Wright Penn plays Mary Surratt, a woman suspected of being involved in the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln. McAvoy will play Frederick Aiken, the young man appointed to defend Surratt, who will finally believe that she is innocent. Long will play a former Civil War soldier amputee, who is Aiken’s best friend and conscience.
Filming is set to begin in a few days in Georgia.
Justin Long will soon be sharing the screen with Robin Williams and John Travolta in Old Dogs, opening November 25.
