Brody has accepted a role in the new Predators film, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. Actor Topher Grace is also in negotiations to join the cast.
In addition, Danny Trejo, Alice Braga, Mahershalalhashbaz Ali, Walt Goggins, Oleg Taktarov and Louiz Ozawa are all on board.
Predators will follow a group of elite soldiers who are mercilessly hunted down by a race of extraterrestrials. Brody will lead the group.
Nimrod Antal (Vacancy) will direct, and Robert Rodriguez and Elizabeth Avellan will produce the project through the company Troublemaker Studios.
Filming is set to begin this month in Hawaii and will then head to Texas. The opening date is scheduled for July 9, 2010.
