Last week, Rolling Stone magazine received a press statement about Crispy Benjamins, a new song by Jay-Z slated for the end of 2009.
The news was enough to give rise to rumours that a new album in the works. The song Crispy Benjamins is not part of The Blueprint 3, which was just released. According to MTV, this song should be included on a greatest hits album, which Def Jam is expecting to release on November 24.
However, Def Jam, the singer’s label that helped the rapper rise to success, will not be behind Crispy Benjamins, since it was recorded under RocNation, Jay-Z’s new company.
