The English duo will release a mini album, entitled Splitting The Atom, on October 4 that will precede their fifth album, LP5, which is set to drop in February.
Massive Attack, from Bristol, England, is associated with the trip-hop genre, which also includes Portishead.
The band often invites other artists to join them on tracks, and Splitting The Atom is no exception. Tunde Adebimpe, the lead singer of TV On The Radio, is featured on the song Pray for Rain.
The EP’s title track is performed by Massive Attack alone, while Bulletproof Love and Psyche feature Christoff Berg and Van Rivers & The Subliminal Kid. The two songs may also be included on LP5.
