Mickey Rourke Is Pressed for Time

Mickey Rourke needs to make a film quickly, before its author dies.

Actor Mickey Rourke is racing the clock to make his new mafia film, The Ice Man, because the book’s author is nearing death, reports Orange News.

Rourke is set to play the role of mafia hit man Richard Kuklinski in the film, based on Philip Carlo novel, which was published in 2006.

Carlo, who will produce the project with Rourke, is suffering from Lou Gehrig’s disease, which attacks the nervous system.

Rourke desperately wants to make the movie before Carlo succumbs to his illness.  He explained, "(The biggest challenge is) getting it released in time. He doesn’t have much time."
