La Ronde Unveils New Roller Coaster Ride

It will soon be possible to feel the excitement over water at La Ronde.

The Six Flags company, owner of La Ronde, continues to invest heavily in the Montreal amusement park.

For next year, they have announced the arrival of a Russian suspended roller coaster where thrill seekers will travel over lac des Dauphins.

689 meters long and reaching as high as 33 meters, the new roller coaster is the work of Vekoma, best known in Montreal for the Super Manege, Boomerang and the Ferris Wheel.

This new roller coaster can reach top speeds of 90 km/hr and has 5 inversions. It has two trains that can carry 20 passengers at a time.

To mark the start of the work, La Ronde is offering an exclusive promotion. People who buy a 2010 passport starting today will be invited to be the first to experience its extreme sensations before it opens to the public.
