The British actor thought his daughter would be delighted to learn that he would be starring in the Twilight sequel, however, the young girl was brought to tears instead.
Lily, 10, who was born from his marriage with Kate Beckinsale, even told her father that he would ruin the franchise.
"When I told her I was definitely playing vampire Aro in Twilight, she cried. She was so overwhelmed and annoyed that I muscled in on something that was hers. She’s already told me she’ll be my date for the premiere," the actor told the New York Post.
The Twilight Saga: New Moon is headed for theatres on November 20.
