Lucas (Management, Poseidon) will star along with Katherine Heigl, Josh Duhamel and Christina Hendricks in the film, reports Variety.
Directed by Greg Berlanti, the film follows two single adults whose lives are disrupted when their mutual best friends die in a car accident, making them guardians of their daughter.
Ian Deitchman and Kristin Rusk Robinson penned the screenplay.
Josh Lucas is currently in Detroit, Michigan filming Little Murder with Terrence Howard. We can also see him in Stolen Lives and Peacock, although release dates for these films have not yet been announced.
