Halle Berry To Face the Great White

Halle Berry will be heading into the ocean deep with the film Dark Tide.

Berry is in negotiations to star in the action thriller Dark Tide, written by Amy Sorlie and directed by Clark Johnson (S.W.A.T.).

According to Variety, the actress would be playing a diving instructor who returns to the deep after she was a victim of a grave incident involving a Great White shark.

Twilight producers Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey will be producing the film through their production company, Temple Hill.

The budget for this production is estimated to be between 15 and 20 million dollars, and the film is expected to shoot later this year in South Africa.

Halle Berry’s last film was 2007’s Things We Lost in the Fire. The actress next went on hiatus to give birth to her daughter, Nahla Ariela Aubry, in March 2008. She is now wrapping up the drama Frankie and Alice, which hasn’t yet been tagged with an official release date.
