A spokesperson for the band confirmed yesterday (September 2) that drummer Charlie Watts is still very much a part of the group, reports Billboard.com.
The rumours created a worldwide panic, as Watts’ departure would have meant an end to the Rolling Stones tour.
Fran Curtis, the band’s rep, said, "Contrary to a fabricated story that ran this morning on a small music Web site in Australia, drummer Charlie Watts has not left The Rolling Stones."
