Neil LaBute Plans New Project

Neil LaBute will be bringing The Burnt Orange Heresy to the silver screen.

LaBute will direct the film, and will be working again with William Horberg.  The two worked together on Death at a Funeral, and this time they’ve chosen to bring the Charles Willeford novel to life.

The Burnt Orange Heresy follows the story of a corrupt art critic in Palm Beach who maneuvers an exclusive interview with a recluse French painter.

LaBute has acquired the film rights for the book, while Horberg will serve as executive producer.  Horberg was also the executive producer of the film Milk, which earned Sean Penn an Oscar for best actor.

So far, no actors have been cast for the film.
