Changed Man was found online on Thursday (August 13), prompting rumours that it would be the first single off his new disc Graffiti, reports Billboard.com.
However, a rep for Brown stated that Changed Man is not the single to mark the singer’s return, and that the song was "recorded some time ago — a long time ago, actually."
The rep did not reveal whether the track was recorded before or after Brown assaulted his then-girlfriend Rihanna, to whom the lyrics seem to be aimed.
Several Chris Brown songs have been released over the summer, including Smash and Not My Fault, which debuted in June, and Don’t Know What It Is, released this week.
