According to FemaleFirst, Winehouse has been banned from the US for two years. The ban came after her arrest for marijuana possession and another arrest for attacking a fan. The legal problems resulted in the singer being unable to obtain an American work visa.
The Rehab singer has since been given the green light to enter the US, and is planning to travel soon.
Although her Back to Black album reached the number 2 spot on the charts last year, the singer has never been able to perform for her American fans. A source revealed, "Amy loves the idea of jetting off to America. She really wants to go to the States and play some shows."
"She knows she has a huge fan base there and would love to boost her profile and give something back to all the people who buy her records," added the source.
