Judd, 41, is going back to school. Her publicist has confirmed that she has registered for public administration studies at Harvard University.
Starpulse.com said the program is for people who wish to pursue a career in public service or in non-profit organizations.
The actress, who has been absent from movies in recent years, is serious about her new career and wants to focus on political and humanitarian activism.
Judd is also a world ambassador for YouthAids, which promotes the prevention and treatment of AIDS. She has also campaigned for many years on behalf of women’s rights.
Ashley Judd has a diploma from the University of Kentucky in French. She finished the program in 1990.
