People reports that Dania Ramirez will become the new face of CoverGirl. The 29-year-old actress will join Drew Barrymore, Queen Latifah, Rihanna and Ellen DeGeneres, who already represent the label.
Ramirez is best known for her role as Maya Herrera in the series Heroes. She also starred in the film Quarantine.
Originally from the Dominican Republic, she spoke no English when she arrived in the United States. She says that her success is a result of hard work.
It is with enthusiasm that she has agreed to join the famous cosmetic brand, saying that she has always dreamed of being a CoverGirl.
The new campaign will be launched in January 2010.
