According to USA Today, Shakira is back and knows what she wants. While the Colombian singer was putting the finishing touches on her She Wolf album, she revealed, "I think I felt trapped in a golden cage for many years."
She Wolf is the first single off the album, and the video is set to debut for the first time today (July 30) on MTV, where we will see the star in a golden cage.
"It was improvisation. I went crazy," she explained. "They said ‘Action!’ and I just started hanging from the bars. I felt so inspired, maybe because I felt like I was a living metaphor trapped inside the cage."
Shakira masterminded the concept of the video and the choreography. The singer also mentioned that there would be wolves in the video. "They were hanging out on the set and people were freaked out," she said.
