Top-Notch Collaborations for Mariah Carey

For her new album, Mariah Carey worked with some of the best in the music business, including Timbaland, The Dream, Big Jim Wright and Jermaine Dupri.

According to MTV News, Carey selected a team of collaborators for her forthcoming album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel.

Not only did Carey want to work with the familiar faces in the recording industry, but also with great producers that she’d never had the chance to work with in the past.

"I worked with Timbaland for the first time," said the singer. "I’m a fan of Timbaland’s, so I enjoyed it. [The song] hasn’t even been mixed yet but I think it’s really cool."

The album’s first single, Obsessed, was a collaboration with The Dream and Big Jim Wright. "I worked with Big Jim Wright, who works with Sounds of Blackness a lot, and so there’s live-feeling songs on the album," added Carey.

Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel hits store shelves in September.
