Michael Jackson Under Anesthesia at Time of Death

Los Angeles police are investigating the possibility that Michael Jackson received a powerful anesthetic shortly before his death.

According to CNN, sources close to the investigation have revealed that Jackson’s personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, administered Propofol, a potent anaesthetic, a few hours before his death.

According to the network, Jackson used Propofol as sedatives.  Several bottles of the drug were found at his residence.  Propofol is normally used in the hospital, and police believe that the drug proved to be fatal for the pop star.

An ongoing investigation of manslaughter is being conducted concerning the doctor’s procedures.  A lawyer for Murray insists that his client neither prescribed nor administered anything that could kill Michael Jackson.

Last week, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the American agency handling drug crimes, searched the doctor’s Houston, Texas office.

CNN added that final results of the autopsy performed on the King of Pop will be available this week.
