According to sources, Cole of Girls Aloud has become a television star after she was a judge on Britain’s The X Factor show last year.
Speculations arose when Simon Cowell reportedly offered the 26-year-old a job working alongside the judges on American Idol.
However, Cole, who is currently in Los Angeles, decided not to seize the opportunity because she would prefer to stay in England with her soccer player husband, Ashley Cole.
A friend of the singer’s said, "Cheryl hasn’t had any TV meetings since she’s been over there. It would mean she would have to leave Britain. She wouldn’t leave Ashley behind. She’s there to work on her new album. She only wants to focus on her music."
