Vogue has learned that Christian Lacroix has found a buyer.
After speculations that French minister of culture Frederic Mitterrand would help save the empire, financer Bernard Krief Consulting has instead come to the French designer’s rescue.
Louis Petiet, president of the finance group, explained that Lacroix is such a legendary couturier that they couldn’t allow the fashion house to die.
Despite its financial setbacks, Christian Lacroix has never given up, and even went through with presenting his new collection at Fashion Week last month.
