Sara Coleman, a woman who filed a lawsuit to receive child support payments from Akon to raise their six-month-old child, believes that the singer is deliberately dodging her, says TMZ.
Ever since a judge ordered the star to help finance the child’s education, Akon has been missing in action.
Attorneys representing Coleman have tried in vain to track him down, and even searched for him at Michael Jackson’s funeral, since Akon was such a big fan.
TMZ contacted the singer’s lawyers, who did not seem to be breaking a sweat. "Akon has taken responsibility and has been extremely cooperative and proactive in handling this private matter. Paternity was only established just over 30 days ago," they stated.
