After five months of searching, director Martin Campbell (Casino Royale) and Warner Bros. now have three potential candidates in mind to play Hal Jordan in the film adapted from the comic book The Green Lantern.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bradley Cooper, Ryan Reynolds and Justin Timberlake are contending for the role, and the decision will be made sometime between now and Monday.
The character Hal Jordan is an Air Force pilot chosen by an alien to become next-in-line to lead the intergalactic police force called the Green Lanterns.
Apparently, the director and producers all have different picks as to who should be the star.
Warner Bros. is planning on releasing The Green Lantern on June 17, 2011.
