Actor Ben Affleck spoke openly about his relationship with Jennifer Lopez, reports IMDb.com. The couple began dating in 2002, after they met on the set of the film Gigli, and broke up in 2004.
During a recent interview, Affleck admitted that he regrets getting involved in this high-profile relationship. He said, "I was no longer in control of my life. I thought I wanted certain things, but I didn’t. I got lost. I felt suffocated, miserable and gross. I should never have gone down that route or got sucked in to all the publicity."
Affleck feels that the publicity surrounding the relationship ruined his career. He therefore took a break from the acting business to let things calm down after they separated.
The actor added that he is now very happy with his wife, Jennifer Garner, and their two daughters, Violet, 3, and Seraphina, 6 months. Work does not occupy all of his life now because his priorities have changed.
