The actress has known the King of Pop since she was 13, but insists on the fact that they were never a couple.
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Shields recalled that in the 1980s, she was "the most celebrated virgin ever," while Jackson was trying to adjust to the scores of women who "wanted to throw themselves at (him) and feel like they were going to teach him."
However, the actress clarified that her profound, amicable relationship with Jackson was easy, because he never pressured her into taking things to the next level. The Blue Lagoon star, who is now 44, also commented that as the years had gone by, "the more asexual he became" to her. She added, "Nothing was jaded about him."
Brooke Shields will be paying homage to Michael Jackson at his funeral today (July 7).
