Actress Virginia Madsen has signed on to play in the independent comedy Father of Invention, reports Variety.
The film tells the story of a billionaire inventor who becomes self-centered with the success of his inventions. However, when one of his inventions goes wrong, he loses everything. After eight years in prison, he finds that his ex-wife is remarried and has spent all his money.
Camilla Belle, Heather Graham and Craig Robinson are also included in the cast. The film is being directed by Trent Cooper, who also wrote the screenplay with Jonathan Krane and Nichole Beattie. Filming has already started.
Meanwhile, Virginia Madsen can be seen along with Hilary Swank, Ewan McGregor and Richard Gere in Amelia, set to hit theatres on October 23.
