Screenwriters Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese (Zombieland) revealed that they have already written a scene for Lee of Marvel Comics.
Lee often makes cameo appearances in projects based on his work. Venom is a spin-off of the Spider-Man franchise. In Spider-Man 3, actor Topher Grace played Venom.
The film is still in development, and no director or release date has been given for the project.
In the meantime, a new Spider-Man film is expected in theatres on May 6, 2011. Lee will produce the project, as well as Iron Man 2, being released on May 7, 2010, and Deadpool, which hits theatres in 2011.
