Dr. Conrad Murray, the cardiologist who was treating Jackson during his heart attack that occurred at his Los Angeles residence Thursday (June 25), underwent an interrogation conducted by the LAPD on Saturday (June 27), reports UsMagazine.com.
Murray voluntarily met with detectives to answer all their questions. A spokesperson for the police revealed, "Dr. Murray was cooperative and provided information which will aid the investigation."
At the meeting, the doctor was accompanied by an attorney. The Stradley, Chernoff & Alford law firm stated, "Dr. Murray is considered to be a witness to the events surrounding Michael Jackson’s death and he is not a suspect. Dr. Murray hired legal counsel to help guide him through the police investigation process. The law firm was hired to make sure the police investigation is conducted properly."
Murray’s spokesperson, Miranda Sevcik, added that the physician "helped identify the circumstances around the death of the pop icon and clarified some inconsistencies."
